Oh to be able to write magnificently.
To make me and others gasp in delight and wonderment
At the sheer beauty of words, in sentences,
Enshrined with knowledge, understanding , written in rhyme.
Gentle vowels would dance with strong consonants,
Imparting performing parading, and entertaining.
The story weaving and swaying to the rhythm of the verse, entwining.
And when old and gray, sitting by the flickering fireside
The poem is remembered and whispered
To sleepy children and the baby sleeping in the cradle.
