Is there something sinister in the air
And has it always been there?
As conflict in the globe daily grows
Neighbours once friends now deadly foes,
Conflict between Syria and Turkey an example shows.
Is there something sinister in the air?
When Mali a landlocked country in Africa
Internally struggling some yearning for a separate state;
Prime place for Islamic terrorists to infiltrate;
A cry for help to the French who bomb and destroy
Then the UK enter, the killing fray.
Is there something sinister in the air?
When the milk of human kindness isn’t there,
When, yet more people into oblivion stare;
Losing homes, loved ones and way of life,
Running hiding protecting their young;
These bloody conflicts should never have begun.
So let us all rise up as one;
Orders to kill our brothers we will shun,
Only God’s laws we will obey,
No more war games we will play.
As in death and misery, we always pay.
