Nature, stretches from her slumber deep
Slowly reaching out to the new seasons sun.
The tips of trees that seemed dead, are now green
For tiny light coloured wax buds can now be seen.
Bulbs, hidden in the earth from winter’s view
Have born a multitude of delicate pastel coloured petals.
Light fresh breezes have replaced harsh winds and freezing rain.
At last Spring, in her fresh fine gown, has made her entrance again.
Lovers hold hands as they stroll along the hawthorn lane
Breathing in crisp cool air as they watch the cranes.
We stop and wonder, time to ponder we afford,
As intense sharpening, of all our senses is abroad.
