From the moment he rose, to the moment he slept
His excited voice, with happiness leaped.
The neighbours knew, when he was home,
But were unaware when he was alone,
As he would talk to everyone, on the phone.
People knew him in the town,
Even the old man, who always, wore a frown
Would smile when The Boy called out ‘hello Mr Brown.’
Each hardly pausing to take a breath,
The Boy listened to what was said,
And would tell his mother before he went to bed
How much he had learned, from others that day,
And his plans in his mind, for the very next day.
By listening and asking The Boy’ knowledge grew;
Became a professor, wise, and famous too.
