The revolving doors go round and round
As figures of re-offending are increasing, by leaps and bounds
The industry, through the years, has grown apace.
I’m forced to dance to the prison’s hypocritical face.
My once sharp mind is now dulled with dope
I’m in deep depression and can hardly cope.
My family are scattered my home now gone
My career in tatters my dreams are shattered.
Strength and youth that I had , were squandered away;
So today’s pimp, with my body, I’ll have to pay.
The only path for me, is to return to crime
Take another chance, I know I’ll do more time.
Now he’s whisking me away, to a hell of infamy;
Who cares; it doesn’t matter, no one here to save me.
