Your rhetoric did go on, for a little too long,
The speech you gave, after you had won.
Little did the world realise then,
Your hunger for power, knew no end.
The dictatorial decree, you then pronounced,
Astonished and upset the world, when announced.
That your future and past actions, by you sanctioned,
Can never be by law, questioned.
Were you pumped up with success following the election?
And powerful after your input, on the Gaza and Israel war cessation?
How brave of you to deliver this decree,
When the Egyptians, crave democracy.
And so yet again, the people demonstrate,
Their aversion, to a singular state.
We are now told, this was just a temporary measure;
But I feel this was to be, your permanent pleasure.
