The Boy just wouldn’t get out of bed,
His Mother was angry, then tried bribing him instead.
The longer he lay, the more upset she became.
Then with water drenched him, to her shame.
She warned him, to the pillow, his head may get stuck.
He didn’t believe her, but this time was out of luck.
For then to the bathroom he had to go.
But found his head stuck fast to his pillow.
He looked and felt so very silly, walking with it on his head;
If only, when first asked, he’d got out of bed.
