Every night, he wouldn’t do his his homework.
To his mother he said, he was too tired or sick;
She should have used a carrot and stick.
Instead, she did his work for him,
He soon became so very dim.
Come end of year, exams he failed.
To his shame an idle fool, he was hailed.
To all who knew him, the news was emailed.
Now, he does his homework with delight,
Never with his parents, over homework, does he fight.
The Boy thankfully has seen the light.
