People, people, put down your knives!
You have now taken too many lives;
The battle fought and won long ago,
Fills now our hearts with terrible woe.
People, people, put down your knives!
That glint of steel that once meant our lives,
Once knives of glory, now knives of greed,
The cancer of envy has sprung from this seed.
People, people, put down your knives,
Life’s blood seeps to sunnier climes;
Quality now almost gone from our lives;
This is what is happening in our times.
People, people, put down your knives!
Our friends and family are tired of their lives,
Living in fear, they leave us with a tear.
To look to the future, that is for the Seer.
People, people, put down your knives!
You must work for your families’ lives,
Let the Red and Radical shout all they will.
If you follow, you pay that costly bill.
